The outdoor patio is the perfect place to hang with friends, and the bar hosts a variety of events, including the Old Smokey Throwdown and the Summer Party on the Patio series. The vibe is low-key, and the company is always friendly and fun in this beloved Galveston establishment. 
 
Located in the historic Tremont House, Toujouse’s 1888 Bar features a beautiful rosewood bar restored to its natural beauty. In the atrium of the hotel, you can sip on signature drinks like The Free State, The Blue Bonnet, or The Bernardo.
 
Sip on Belgian and American craft beer at Devil and the Deep Brewery. It's the perfect place to relax after a long day. Sip your favorite drink in a space that's hosted a diverse array of events, including live music, science lectures, and art shows.
 
The Rooftop Bar is the only one of its kind in Galveston. A local favorite undergoing renovation, this spot boasts cozy sectional seating, bar-high tables, and one-of-a-kind views of Downtown Galveston and the harbor. When renovations are complete, the bar will be equipped with televisions and enclosed dining areas. 

Things to Do

The Galveston Island Shrimp Festival occurs each September, bringing the best shrimp gumbo on the Gulf Coast to town. The festival is packed with fun activities for the entire family, including a shrimp gumbo cookoff, a 5K run, and a parade.
 
The historic First Evangelical Lutheran Church has hosted Galveston Oktoberfest for over 40 years. During this fall event, visitors are encouraged to come in costume to sample traditional German food and beer while enjoying a variety of activities, arts, crafts, and games.
 
The city is also home to North America's largest four-day bike rally, known as the Lone Star Rally. During this event, over 400,000 people and 150,000 motorcycles come to town to enjoy a weekend packed with concerts, bike shows, and other events for the entire family.

In November, Moody Gardens hosts Holiday in the Gardens. From ice skating and dinner shows to nightly fireside s'mores and visits with Santa, this festival is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.
